The Max just has to load the outbound route entries (the route-n profiles) from the Radius database, not the entire database. The route entries contain pointers to the actual Radius profiles that the Max will use for dialing, and the Max will request those profiles from the Radius server on demand. I have noticed that occasionally, our Max loses the route entries and they have to be reloaded via System->Sys Diag->Upd Rem Cfg. This Max is running 4.5Bp1, and has been extremely reliable other than the above problem, which is why we haven't upgraded it. -- Dave Carrigan | Yow!
