Quake is a defnite no-no... there was a discussion about it on here a 
short while back. Something to do with the way the Quake network engine 
handles UDP.

IRC should be OK, I think, but I haven't tried it. Of course, stuff like 
DCC (Direct Client-to-Client) in IRC probably won't.

Stuff like ICQ, etc., could possibly be quite flakey, because of the 
pipeline not knowing where to route inbound packets. Actually, I'll have 
to give it a try...

Otherwise, most everything that is instigated by the client machine, and 
any static mappings through the NAT to well known services should be fine.
