RE: (ASCEND) P. 75, NAT, Dynamic, ISP Argumentative, Question
I apologize, I only get about 20 minutes a day to work with the router. I
would like to understand the whats going on so be my own techsupport (and
ask meaningful questions). The problem is that I am losing my dns
abilities from the workstation. A quick disconnect and reconnect to the
ISP and problem el solvo. Also I would like to be able to irc/dcc.
When I originally contacted Ascent, the engineer connected to my 75 and
configured it for me. Great for getting on the net, not so great for
learning.
Currently I have 8 pdf's, 2 manuals and 6 html docs with various bits of
the information I think I need to absorb.
The question is, what <x> things need to be address in configuring the
router for Dynamic IP (single), 3 workstations, DHCP, DNS and a couple of
custom routes to handle the irc thing.
And, I have configured the router and my workstation as described in
"Configuring Pipelines for NAT".
Thanks in advance....:)

Did you also set NAT routing to point to this profile ?

You don't really say what your problem is...do you have a problem, or are
you
just trying to understand it?

I hope not ;)
