Re: (ASCEND) T1 Hunt Groups
I am in a similar situation and I decided to go the NFAS route. The obviouse
advantage is that you gain extra B channell but a not so obvious
disadvantage is that if you lose the first T1, the second T1 becomes
temoporarily unusuable.
BellSouth has been pretty reliable with our PRIs. I've only had a total of
about 12 hours downtime in the last year or so due to line problems. based
on that record, I'm about to power up my second Max4004 and i'll ultimately
end up w/ 8 Ts and only 2 D channels.
As far as special requests goes, tell them you need NFAS and you need all
the lines to be an a single hunt group. explain to them that PRIs are goint
into two pieces of equipment and you'll be ok.
