Good idea, but I think it's probably easier to just get the guy to hook up
a terminal.
Funnily enough, your suggestion reminds me of another problem I have:
getting a modem to work on the terminal port.
I set a modem to answer on ring and hangup on loss of carrier, but I can't
seem to get any further. Naturally, the RUBB's section on that is, um,
nonexistant.
Do the modem connect rate and the terminal rate have to be identical? If
so, can you only connect at 2400? Ugh.
I'm testing with a 4000, but the modem is destined for a TNT.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
