Look at the status screen that lists the options enabled, and the serial number, roll down to the Data Call = Enabled/Not Enabled part, and your M1800 should have DataCall Enabled. It seems if this is not properly set, like mine was not, your loose the Bridgint/IPX/Appletalk functions. So, a simple (correctly built) hash code away from the fix.
