Well LQM and VJ don't seem to do much harm and I try to avoid the rest. The biggest performance boost I encountered some time ago is to set Ethernet->Mod Config->TServ options-> Packet Wait time=50 Packet characters=30 instead of the default 0. (At least with old V.34 modem cards) There is a an overall increase of some 10% in download througput. As a side effect, the Rx Pkt display gets much more reasonable and hex2ppp has much less hazzle with async ppp debug output from wanxxx. :-) -- Manfred Kwiatkowski, ZRZ (Zentraleinrichtung Rechenzentrum), Sekr.: EN 50, Technische Universitaet Berlin, Einsteinufer 17, D-10587 Berlin, GERMANY.
