Are you thinking of 1 day, 5 days, 2 weeks or what? I fondly imagine that with one of these new-fangled computers I could fire umpteen thousand different inputs at my well designed modular sofware whilst simultaneously capturing the output and comparing it with what it should be? Or should i be thinking about rows of manual testers using quill pens to note the results?
