> Hello > > has anyone had experience with BGP 4 on Ascend equipment? Good luck. The TNT doesn't support it (yet, it was advertised that the TNT did in fact support it [nice that the Ascend field engineers came all the way out to Phoenix just to confirm that]). The Max400x series doesn't. I think the GRF is supposed to. What's odd is that I got a really great quote on a very nice Cisco router that does all of what the GRF (and comparably, the TNT) is supposed to do at a very much reduced price from either the GRF or TNT. I'm wondering if this is the reason Ascend is so anxious to give away a TNT with the purchase of a certain number of Max400x. I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes competition is good... > Whats the base level of MAX that supports it as I cant find ANY > reference to it on their Web Site Nor can I. ;-) -- Joseph Hickman Director of Network Operations / System Administration joseph@psn.net ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Follow-Ups:

Re: (ASCEND) BGP 4 ?

From: Matt Holdrege <matt@ascend.com>

 References:

(ASCEND) BGP 4 ?

From: "Adam Neat" <adamneat@ipax.com.au>

Prev by Date: Re: (ASCEND) BGP 4 ?

Next by Date: Re: (ASCEND) SAFirewall - how good is it?

Next by thread: (ASCEND) What the big ones do

Index(es):

Main

Thread
