I'll state for the record that the PortMaster-3 is quite capable of 'mainline routing' and is being used as such by a number of sites. And it will run multiple full BGP views (45K+ routes) in 16MB of RAM. You can use one port for dialin and another for a leased line if you want. >If all your links are in the one location get yourself either a Bay >ARN or a Cisco 2500 series and run BGP 4 to your heart's desire. Will a 2500 series take a full view from BGP? I thought I'd read that you needed a higher level Cisco to take full views. -MZ -- Livingston Enterprises - Chair, Department of Interstitial Affairs Phone: 800-458-9966 510-737-2100 FAX: 510-737-2110 megazone@livingston.com For support requests: support@livingston.com <http://www.livingston.com/> Snail mail: 4464 Willow Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588 ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Follow-Ups:

RE: (ASCEND) BGP 4 ?
