I've been hearing rumors about that for a while. Most of them indicate it is a replacement/suppliment for the 4000 line. Like the AS5300 is to the AS5200 at Cisco. Most common speculation is: A 4000-like chassis with 4 T1/E1 ports, expandable RAM, and a faster processor. Able to take 6 of the 16 modem K56flex cards to allow for 96 modems in one chassis - 4xT1. Probably with a 10/100baseT ether. But that's just the rumors. -MZ -- Livingston Enterprises - Chair, Department of Interstitial Affairs Phone: 800-458-9966 510-737-2100 FAX: 510-737-2110 megazone@livingston.com For support requests: support@livingston.com <http://www.livingston.com/> Snail mail: 4464 Willow Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588 ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Follow-Ups:

Re: (ASCEND) BGP 4 (Max 6000) (fwd)

From: Joe Shaw <jshaw@insync.net>

Prev by Date: RE: (ASCEND) BGP 4 ?
