(ASCEND) Subnet routing with a PL75
I have an internet connection running over an Ascend Pipeline 75 with a
16-ip subnet assigned to my end of the network. I would like to have the
PL75 route all IP's in that subnet through a Linux box which would handle
firewalling and nat, but the router does not seem to want to route to the
machine. I am new in the world of Ascend routers, so my bet is I am doing
something wrong.. if anyone could tell me the 'right way', I would
appreciate it. The router is connected directly to the linux box via a
crossover cable. Here is the setup (with modified IP's, of course):
Subnet: 192.168.0.145/28
Router IP: 192.168.0.145
Linux box: 192.168.0.146
So, to recap, I just want to have the router route the rest of the IP's
through the linux box (192.168.0.146).. is this possible, and if so, how
do I go about it? Thanks!
