| I have a pipeline 75(early release) with software 6.0.6 on it. Ever
| since I upgrade from 5.x.x, intermittently, the WAN LED stays on, even
| when there is no connection. After it gets stuck ON, I have to reset
| the pipeline to get it to shut off.
|
| Any ideas? Suggestions? any one else had this problem?

I have a Pipeline 75 (Load: b2.p75, post S/N 722XXXX, no slide switch)
which displayed the same behavior as you describe above, however with
a minor difference. All the Software Release Upgrades for the unit
were fine until Software Revision Upgrade Release-6.1.0. Release-6.1.0
behaved as you descibed (I had to go back to Release-6.0.6 which, in my
case, worked fine). When Release-6.1.3 became available, I tried in-
stalling that release and the same behavior was present. However, a
day or two ago (6/21/98) Release-6.1.5 became available on
"ftp.ascend.com" and, since installation of that release, the behavior
of my Pipeline 75 has been very reliable for 01:19:08:44 (as of this
writing). This correction is not listed on the final page of the Re-
lease Notes for this upgrade to Revision-6.1.5, but, perhaps, in the
tech's fixing other problems they may have fixed whatever in the code
as causing the behavior you describe and I experienced.
