Re: (ASCEND) MAX 6000

I'm still waiting on my demo unit, but it will replace one of our
production units so we can see how well it performs. I would think that
if everything I've heard about it were true, then I am going to love this
box. Now if Ascend can just get the kinks worked out of their 6.0.x
versions of software, I'll be a happy man.

I've dug around and talked to some local providers who use maxen and only
the ones doing both OSPF and stacking seem to be having problems with
6.0.x. We downgraded all of our problematic maxen to 5.0ap51 and haven't
had any problem since. With 6.0.x doing both OSPF and Stacking, our tech
support was totally overwhelmed with complaints of unexplained
disconnects.
