That was my understanding too. I have quite a few spreadsheets assuming that.

I had never heard this before, and I'm not happy to now. :-(

I hadn't noticed that little detail, and going over them I see why. It's a
tiny "In addition..." note. One can only imagine the number of calls this
generated to TAC. Ascend, I can image why you don't exactly want to
publicize this sort of thing, but even the lowest of the low--those of use
who have already paid--need to know this sort of thing. What if we were
actually using those channels? Well, I guess we're not now...
>From the release notes:
Corrections in 2.0.7
N/A HDLC card FE2 prevention.
To prevent the HDLC card from failing with FE2 (out of memory), it now
refuses service when
it encounters various low memory thresholds. (This is not a new condition,
but the number of
conditions causing refusal of service have been expanded.) In addition, the
number of
supported HDLC channels on the card is reduced from 128 to 96.
N/A HDLC card could reset without fatal error under heavy load.
The HDLC card could intermittently reset without generating a fatal error
while handling
MP(P) calls under heavy load. This has been corrected.
So, if the load is two heavy and the card doesn't have enough memory...
make it do less. Ahh. I'm going to take a nap. Let me know when the TNT is
on par with a Pipe 25.

I'll be standing right behind you with a bat with a nail through it.

Perhaps the additional channels needed to be assigned to running the BGP 4
that is also MIA.
Ascend, this isn't funny. Please speak up before TNT owners on the list
storm the gates.
>I'd love to be mistaken, here.
Me too. :-(
