In regards to the older max, If you wanted to fully stock it w/ New K56
cards then you want to ensure that you have a max with the proper 
power-supply. The KFLEX/V90 cards draw more power and could in the long
run kill your max. 

If you where just going to load up say 3-4 cards then you should be 
alright.
