(ASCEND) tik vx. tbk

I've got five 4048's and all originally had tik.m40.  I RMA'd one for a
10-day-turnaround repair and it came back with tbk.m40.

What have I lost or gained with the new code?

Is it okay to change it back to tik if I find it necessary? or will that
break something?
