Re: (ASCEND) Caller ID

The following is the text from the "MAX RADIUS Configuration Guide".
I would strongly recommend reading the documentation that comes with
the MAX to help understand the product.

  Caller-Id (31)

Description: The Caller-Id attribute specifies the calling party number
for Calling Line ID (CLID) authentication, indicating the phone number
of the user that wants to connect to the MAX.

  Client-Port-DNIS (30)

Description: The Client-Port-DNIS attribute specifies the called-party
number, indicating the phone number the user dialed to connect to the MAX.
DNIS stands for Dialed Number Information Service.

Caller-Id is also known as "Calling-Station-Id" in the RADIUS RFC (RFC 2138).
Client-Port-DNIS is listed as "Called-Station-Id" in RFC 2138.

The MAX receives the information from the phone switch. The MAX will include
the information it receives in the RADIUS accounting message. I know of no
configuration parameters that control whether the MAX will include the data,
when present, in RADIUS accounting messsages (e.g., if the MAX knows the
numbers, it will always send them).
