Accidentally killed Max! (was Re: (ASCEND) proxy arp (was firewall probs?) )

Speaking of old old Ascend things that we might wish to be different, I
thought I'd mention this...
Today I wanted to do a "wandsess" on someone's session, but I accidentally
hit ESC [ ESC - instead of ESC [ ESC = (hey, the keys are adjacent).
*D'oh*! ESC [ ESC - immediately kills any Pipeline or Max, drops it to
Xmodem on the serial port mode.
While heading over to the machine room to power cycle the unfortunate box,
I found myself wondering what I would do if it was in a remote POP!
Fortunately, by the time I got there, it had rebooted. It seems that,
at least, the box will reboot after a while if it does not receive an
Xmodem load.
Hmm. I'll try to avoid doing that again!
