Tell me about it.  We only have one box with 56k modems in it and no
upgrades in sight for the others so we will be stuck with 7.0.x at the
latest, since they are discontinuing support for v.34 in 7.1.

My point exactly; 5.0Ap33 sucked.

Stable release:  5.0Ap48.  Over 120 days uptime, good modem code, no
reboots, FEs, or warnings.
