(ASCEND) TNT: 48modem "TIMEOUT" and reset

If anyone could give me any insight on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The following entries showed up in my syslog messages today:

Mar  3 14:38:12 tnt200-79.dialin.buffalo.edu 1/17: Slot 1/7, timeout failure cod
e=0 during TIMEOUT
Mar  3 14:38:12 tnt200-79.dialin.buffalo.edu 1/17: Slot 1/7, state DOWN 1

followed by all of the calls on that slot being "Terminated", and then

Mar  3 14:38:16 tnt200-79.dialin.buffalo.edu 1/17: Slot 1/7, state LOAD 5

There was nothing else unusual in the syslog messages or in
snmp traps. Is there anywhere else I could/should look for clues?

The TNT is running 2.1.3, and is just being used to terminate a
T3 into modems....no routing or anything like that.

Can anyone give me any ideas as to what might cause a slot
to generate the above "TIMEOUT" message, and then reset?

Thanks in advance!!
