(ASCEND) Pac Bell Super Trunk for data
While attempting to install a Max I am running into the usual telco vs
Hardware hassle.
Has anyone here used a Pac Bell Supertrunk for incoming data ? As far as I
know its a standard line with 24 channels, but w/o the ability to do PRI
stuff such as ISDN.
My problem is that my Max is giving a fast busy everytime I dial into it.
The telco has terminated and tested the line, and Ascend has verified my
setup as OK.
Pac Bell is claiming it may have something to do with the DID, but I am not
using DID and I requested they send me 7 digits. Also, I don;t believe that
a MAX support DID as its a voice feature not data.
I must also comment on the Ascend tech. support, I have called twice and was
put on DEEP hold for over an hour each time !!!!!
Is this usual ? Talk about customer service *grin*, what do they have 5
support staff ? I am afraid to attempt the "pay as you go" service, as it
seems to be a crapshoot on who picks up the phone there.
TIA
