(ASCEND) OSPF configuration 4048

Having quite a problem configuring OSPF on my ascends.  I have :

* mod-ether-ospf options :
  RunOSPF=Yes
  Area=0.0.0.0
  AreaType=Normal
  HelloInterval=10 
  DeadInterval=40
  Priority=5
  AuthType=None
  AuthKey=N/A
  KeyId=N/A
  Cost=1
  ASE-type=N/A
  ASE-tag=N/A
  TransitDelay=1
  RetransmitInterval=5

i'm wondering how one goes about advertising a given network, and also
wondering about the last 3 entries in WAN options, specifically Pool only,
Pool summary, and Pool OSPF Adv Type.

i suspect i'm just missing a small, but important setting, i just can't
find the thing.
