(ASCEND) Modem on Console port of Max2024

Hi,

We have just set up Max2024 at remote site and although we have had no
problems I still wouldn't mind a backdoor to accessing it just in case
something happens.

Is it possible to wack a modem on the Console port and set the Modem to
Auto Answer and be able to dial it up with something like Hyperterminal to
the Max?

I know there is the question of security in that the console has no
password on it and if you were to disconnect with Full access enabled the
next person would be able to access everything, but I think I once saw
mention of a modem that had a built in password sort of function.
