Re: (ASCEND) RADIUS Framed-Address problems



Your RADIUS profile looks fine, you're probably just
running into a routing problem.

If the Framed-Addres xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is on the same
subnet as all of your MAX units, then you need to ensure
that Proxy Mode = Active is selected in your MAX's ethernet
configuration.  This will allow the MAX to 'route' the
static IP address.

If the address is not on the same subnet, then you will
need to pass routing information from the MAX to your
router.  Use a dynamic routing protocol like RIPv2 or
OSPF to pass the routing information along.  If you only
have one MAX, you can get away with static routes, but
I wouldn't recommend it (doesn't scale well).

Although you didn't say in your e-mail, I imagine that 
you are getting assigned the static IP address, you just
cannot 'surf' or do anything useful once connected?  If
that's not right, please post more information on the
list.
