Anyway, our Max 6000 (7.0.1) went to full-duplex on a 2924XL-EN 
(the port is forced to full-duplex). We didn't test much, but it
appears to work reliably.
However the Ether Stat display on the Max appears to be a little 
weird, at least looking at the TX counters. I don't think I need to 
understand the scheme behind this :)

compared to:

90-400 Ether Stat
Rx Pkt:   24298827
