You just proved my point.. I have had MAXen since the first
MAX4000 european models. Even if a new release is supposed
to fix a problem, I don't upgrade if I have a workaround,
because there is Always a new problem.. it's endless.

I have Software +5.0Ap44+ in production now. We have a test
MAX which running something else.. 

Half/fullduplex negotiation problem is something I wouldn't want to trade,
because it's a very well understood and relatively harmless problem.

An experienced Ascend user asks fixes only for REALLY fatal problems ;-)
