  A Pipeline 400 just has 2 wan ports (at least that's all mine has)?  A 
pipeline 200+ (or 200), tho totally unsupported pretty much as far as 
upgrades go, can go to 4 BRI's (8 Channels) if you have all the slots 
filled. The problem with the 200 and 200+ is they don't have console access 
port, so you have to use a ethernet access as I recall to configure (it was 
discussed a while back).

If he's looking for something new, and budget allows, the Superpipe would 
prob be the best choice for continued support down the road.
