(ASCEND) MAX 4K + 6K, from RIP to OSPF

I've got 3 MAX 4Ks and a 6K.  Currently running 7.0.1.  Using 56k modem
cards and ISDN.  

We're getting a new router and we'll be switching to OSPF from RIP.
Do I need to start looking for a different firmware version?
