(ASCEND) Link Comp Settings

Been trying to get a straight answer on the best setting for Link Comp for
our dialup accounts, most of which are using Windows 95/98.  What is the
best setting to use?  I have been told not to use it at all, but just about
as many people have said we should be using MS-Stac.  We currently use
MAX6096 most of the boxes have 4 PRI's.  Any good suggestions?  Thanks.
