Re: (ASCEND) Suppress host routes
My suggestion is to suppress host routes, and do NOT perform
pool summary, but instead define a static route in the
Ethernet->Static Rtes menu, and then route it dynamically using
RIPv2 .
Pool summaries sometimes pick the wrong subnet mask (as you've
found). This has happened for a while, and it even does it
in 7.0.26.
You can define the static route and route it to the reject
interface like:
Name=192.0.0.0/24
Active=Yes
Dest=192.0.0.0/24
Gateway=127.0.0.2
Metric=8
Preference=60
Private=No
Then turn on RIPv2 routing in your Ethernet->Mod Config menu.
