Ok, that gives us two dozen moving objects to play with.  Everything else 
should be client controlled.  Can anybody think of a time when we would 
need to have more than 24 continuously moving objects?  BTW, how many 
updates/sec do we want to achieve?

The animated sequences are probably best done with UDP.
