This is not a good approach, IMHO. The CF hasn't been designed with this
in mind, so just doing that causes severe imbalances. First, who would
pick a "fighter"? Nobody, since taking wizard instead gives you fighting +
wizardry. And with some races you can be a priest too. This should be
balanced. Then the skill scrolls could be almost totally removed, only
leaving them to quests. And what about gods? Every wizard would pray
lucifer since only bad thing it gives is no curing spells, which a wizard
doesn't get anyways.

Then a party of priest + wizard + fighter wouldn't be so uncommon.
And there should be some maps with highbie wizard/priest spells then,
because those races can't kill monsters like edk:s with a small fireball
:) Things like meteor swarm or finger/face of death would need to be found
in some quest maps. That's not an issue though, you can always create more
maps..
