CF: Why is this line in readable.c, line 1357?

    while (al == NULL);


It sends the program into an endless loop if al == NULL.

Apparently, when I try to generate a random-readable in the map
generator, it sometimes hangs here.  Something's not initialized
properly, or the readable code is buggy.
