Intermittant routing problem

Dear Smart People,

I sometime have a routing problem when using diald to make a connection
to the U of M. The PPP connection is usually two addresses that aren't
on my LAN (which has non routed addresses exclusively on it), like this:

inet addr:207.58.29.210  P-t-P:207.58.28.1  Mask:255.255.255.0

but sometimes it chooses the eth0 address for the inet addr, which
screws up routing. I don't why this happens, or why it doesn't happen
consistently (which makes it difficult to investigate), but it is
beginning to get on my nerves.

Does anyone have any easy answers or quick fixes? Or should I continue
looking for TFM to R? See you tomorrow,
