You better believe the Debian package system works...  I just installed
Storm Linux 2000 and then ran 'apt-get dist-upgrade' (after changing 
/etc/apt/sources.list, of course) and it completely upgraded me to Debian 
Potato flawlessly!  I'm pretty amazed...
