        don't feel bad. :) I started using Linux (RH 5.1) just over a year
ago; knowing just enough to use 'ls', 'cd' and 'pico'. ;)
        so whatever you know or don't know; it's hardly insurmountable. :)
just keep your box handy, and try out new commands you hear about on the
listserv. :)

as for your vid problem; you could probably bring it in to a TCLUG meeting,
and several people would be happy to help you with it. :) (I had to bring my
Debian box to a SCALUG meeting in order to get X working.)
        or just go back to Caldera. unless you've found that Corel offers
you a nicer setup. (I wouldn't know. I've seen Caldera 2.2; and it looked
very newbie-friendly... my problem with it was that it didn't feel 'expert
friendly' enough.)
