'top' lockup

        congradulations to me, I just locked up a 'top'. process. :)
        mind you, it had been running since dec 01, with 228:07 minutes of
cpu time. :)
        I tried toggling 'cumulative mode'; and it stopped dead in it's
tracks. had to kill it and the bash it had been running on from another
process. 

        wonder if I should report a bug to someone? and if so, who? this one
may take some time to replicate. :)
