I'm actually enjoying Visi's ADSL w/ static IP package right now... $24.95/mo
for Visi, $30 for USWest. If ADSL is available in your area, it's roughly the
same price as a second line, and several times faster than a regular modem.

I have this service from Sihope.com, and it can be purchased from visi.com
as well, although for more in both cases, and both are much more
Linux-friendly.

Bob, does real-time offer this?

Keep in mind that static-ip does not mean dedicated connection.  You're
still timed out (although you can redial).
