Re: [TCLUG:7010] Has 3Com abandoned V.90 client modem improvements?



Seems to me that if we're going to use this information to bash USR
modems, we should be a little more careful.  I should mention that I have
no affiliation with USR.

This page's big complaint is that USR is not updating their firmware often
enough.  It protests that "the most recent flash firmware for many
3Com/USR modems (including the Courier) are well over 1 year old".  Ah,
finally something stable--the firmware was finished prior to July 1998.

On this page, people rate their overall satisfaction with their modems. 
By looking at the survey results, people seem to be happiest with their
USR modems.

This is a Winmodem!  Arrgh!  Okay, I just realized that Bob's trolling and
