Does anyone know what the worst system is that can still play mp3 files?
I have an old 386 w/ 8Megs that I wanted to turn into an MP3 player for
my stereo. Can it be done if it's running in console mode and using
mpg123?
I use mpg123 on my P75 with 80 meg of RAM, in console mode, and it plays the
mp3s ok as long as its doing nothing else.  If I load anything, click the mouse, start a file transfer, etc,
it gets really choppy.

I would imagine, then, that you're out of luck with a 386, and that a 486 DX4 or a P75 is probably the
minimum.
