I'll bet someone could make some money buying cheap modems, testing them to
make sure they worked with Linux and reselling them to Linux users at a
slight markup with a "Works with Linux" guarantee.
Anyway - I bought a Diamond Supra Express and aside from some IRQ problems
its worked very well. I've seen cheap ($35) modems from TigerDirect but
who knows if they're Winmodems or not.
