Re: [TCLUG:6754] kernel too big
Well, i recompiled with make dep;make clean;make bzImagenand bzImage
(under /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot) is type bytes larger than before.
What is with that? Now when I run lilo I get:
Warning: device 0x0302 exceeds 1024 cylinder limit
geo_comp_addr: Cylinder number is too big (3438 > 1023)
before I just got that kernel too large. A yet the default redhat kerenl
is 3.5 times as large and works fine with lilo (it is 1.5meg) How I get my
kernel to boot. Do I need to module more stuff?
Thanks,
Ben
