On that note, there's nothing stopping anyone from writing a ext2 driver
for WinNT and Win98.  All you would need is the DDK from MSDN plus the
ext2 code from Linux.  (That, and a bit of patience I suspect.)  Also, you
would have to find a way to thunk DOS filesystem calls to ext2 calls.

Once you had such a driver and thunking layer, there wouldn't be much
stopping Windows from running on pure ext2 systems.  I have to say that it
would be nice to be able to run Linux filesystem tools for my Windows
stuff too.
