If you need to find a port that is not in /etc/services, IANA is the place to
go, http://www.iana.org. Specifically, you want to check out this page (its
pretty big): http://www.isi.edu/in-notes/iana/assignments/port-numbers. For
those of you who don't know what IANA is, they (it used to be just Jon Postel)
are the coordinators of numbers and such on the Internet. Even if you just
have a passing interest in the Internet & TCP/IP, you should keep an eye on
IANA.
