RE: [TCLUG:6197] ASP pages run on Linux

There's another product, too and it was just released. It's called Instant
ASP (iASP). http://www.halcyonsoft.com/ I had a beta before it was released,
but never got the time to install it :-(.

Chili!Soft has been semi-promising this for quite some time. The reviews of
the Solaris version have been really good, but I haven't had the chance to
play with it yet. No friends with a Sparc laying around...

One of the coolest things (IIRC) is that they have a wrapper for JavaBeans
that make them look like a COM object to ASP. Combine Chili!ASP with IBM's
forthcoming VisualAge, and we're talking potential!

One thing I really like NT for (can I say that here?) is ASP. It is a nice
platform to work with, and shows that Microsoft *can* produce one or two
genuinely good products, even if they have to go buy the technology from
someone else. They purchased the original ASP concept, but it has since
undergone continuous development and has some really cool
features/capabilities. Can't wait to use it on an OS that doesn't require a
reboot every other day!
