	In my experience, GNOME is a huge memory hog.  I would switch
to a simpler desktop if you can.

	Netscape is also a huge memory hog, so having GNOME and
Netscape running at the same time is a recipe for thrashing.

	I may be wrong about this.  I don't have much experience with
running Linux on a memory limited machine.
