Mandrake is essentially a recompiled version of RedHat.  RedHat is compiled for i386 and
Mandrake is compiled for i686.  Mandrake claims their disti is up to 30% faster
than RedHat because of this.

Ive used both RedHat 6.0 and Mandrake 6.0 and I've yet to see a noticable
performance difference, but I haven't done any actual testing.
