RE: [TCLUG:8461] Linux and IP Masq with Media One cable modem

I just dumped my M1 service, after a year, a couple weeks ago.  I had a
Linux box IP Masqing for about 3-5 computers running from one of their
external modems.  I have had no experience with the internal models, but I
would assume it works the same...there has been some talk about linux
support for the internal model, but I again, have never played around with
it.

I have been reading the cable modem vs  DSL debates in the archives and it
sounds like
DSL might be better. Problem is, I am to far away from the phone exchange so
DSL is
out.. Is anyone sucessfully running Linux with Media One (one way) cable?
How about IP
Masqurading with cable?
