Great, we don't have distribution wars, we have fsck wars!

Stick with me, and I'll lead you to the freedom of pronouncing it MY
WAY!

fisk is quick, 1 syllable, and easy on the tongue.  It's also similar to
the word 'frisk', which is basically what it does to the filesystem. 
fiss-check is WAY too long and has a native connotation.
